We Love Bali

As the season settles on a colder tone, Bali is on our mind this month. Sunkissed and carefree, the Indonesian province harbours a fusion of explorative dining, entrancing jungle and an overtone of relaxation. Ever the jetsetter, our GM of Brand and Strategy Alex, is here to give her top picks all the way from Canggu to Ubud.

The Beach Club is an integral component to any Balinese itinerary, and our preferred hotspot would have to be The Lawn. As the casualness of its name suggests, The Lawn is a spot founded on good drinking, good eating and excellent vibes. Refresh with icy Margaritas on the sand, and get down to DJ sets from the likes of Tame Impala. We’re in.
Michelin starred, this heavily awarded venue absolutely lives up to all its hype. Awarded best Indonesian restaurant two years running, sweep through It’s opulent dining room before settling into a dining experience of classical flavours and finely crafted cuisine.
Blending European interiors and Latin American flavours, this contemporary and curated experience considers every detail, from entry to exit. Begin with wines over tapas before moving onto cocktails and good company. Save a spot for Fridays nights - the dancefloor is open til 2am.
As the name would suggest, this Seminyak space is all about the body. Heralded as the OG Balinese day spa, the enticing pastel oasis offers everything from massage to manicure, complimented by warm welcomes, lush interiors and a serene ambience that flows throughout.
A hub of health, fusing architecture and wellness. The New Zealand born and Bali based brand maintains a mindful attitude towards its guests' experiences, offering everything from lymphatic drainage to immune support within its natural, contemporary space.
If wellness is king, then it's castle resides in the Pyramids of Chi. Balancing ancient practices with modern technology, this immersive space focuses on the transformative exercise of sound healing, and offers tailored meditations for all spiritual journeys. Enter with an open mind, and expect the unexpected.
Bali Swing
A necessary inclusion to any stay in Ubud, this highly photographic experience offers a magnificent view of the Balinese jungle with a highly unique vessel. More than just a swing, it’s the swing.
Segno Bali
Handcrafted cocktails with just the right amount of adventure, Segno is equal parts atmosphere and flavour. Sip through its extensive and considered menu, and wind down into a lush evening of good fun and excellent drinks
Cali Villas Canggu
Like stepping into a Slim Aarons portrait, the Cali Villas is grounded in its luxe Palm Springs design attitude - bright white villas echoing a bygone time of the 12pm cocktail hour and Pucci Kaftans. Relax, recharge and revel in its carefully curated decor, or explore the scenes outside - it’s walking distance from local haunts like Finns Beach Club and Kynd Community.
Royal Pita Maha Ubud
Tipped as a sanctuary for sensory indulgence, the Royal Pita Maha is a boutique experience celebrating Bali’s cultural heritage. The Private Villas reflect the surrounding environmental traits of Ubud, tinged with deep wood and open spaces. Escape to its inhouse spa for a treatment, or seek out one of its many dining experiences. In one word? Zen.
